Chris was born in the small coal mining town of Williamson, WV and raised in Northern Virginia. After graduating high school in 2002, Chris enlisted in the United States Navy. Once there, "A simple twist of fate spun Chris Altice's life in ways he could never imagine."

Chris was supposed to board the Washington State based USS Carl Vinson, but a delay sent him to Southern California aboard the USS Nimitz. While on deployment in 2005, Chris' story caught the attention of the producers from Icon Productions. His story was chronicled in the 10-part 10-hour Emmy award winning documentary series "Carrier," which aired in May of 2008. Fans of the show know him for his heart wrenching love story where he exposed his life for thousands of viewers.

With the great success of the show, Chris never envisioned a career in television. That was until he was invited to audition for three commercial acting opportunities in the Washington, D.C. area all in the same month in 2013-he booked all three. These included principal spots for Acura and The Key West Film Festival.

After living and training as an actor Los Angeles, Chris & his wife Traci Barrett (celebrity/editorial hair stylist) decided to return to her hometown of Phoenix, AZ to raise their daughter.  On September 14th, 2020, just two weeks after her 3rd birthday, she was diagnosed with B-cell Leukemia. Today, Payson is in remission and is finishing her treatment at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Her "ring the bell" ceremony is 2/3/23.

In his spare time, Chris plays ice hockey for The USA Warriors, a team that supports and rehabilitates those wounded in defense of the United States.

He is currently represented by Dani's Agency in Tempe, AZ.
